Hi everyone!
Recently my fiancée and myself visited Vietnam, a truly beautiful country...much to my surprise...in truth I was convinced too visit by another not to sure on what to expect. On returning to Australia, I realise how beautiful the country and its people were, a massive culture shock yes, but an expedition that I for one am very glad that I undertook.
Stating in Ho Chi Min city we travelled north, visiting Hoi An, Hue, Halong bay on our way to our destination in Hanoi. We visited the Cu Chi tunnels and witnessed the living conditions and some of the tactics of the Viet Cong during the Vietnam war (American war as it is sometimes referred to over there) my personal favourite was taking a cyclo ride around Saigon, amongst the buzzing city and amazing amounts of traffic, noise, lights and people I couldn’t decide weather to laugh, smile, wave or scream.
The colour, sights, sounds, smells and above all the people I met both native to the country and those who I travelled with will be memories I will hold on to forever.
Here are some pics from over there.
(P.S. I would like to thank Sare for not letting me miss out on one of the great experiences of my life)
Enjoy!!!
G.
